A shot using a single exposure to make an image of the three monkeys of See No Evil, Hear No Evil and Speak No Evil.
I'm also the subject in this case. The grim expression is concentration as I only had 20 seconds for the whole exposure, including changing props, changing position and triggering the flash. I usually smile more :-)

I used a Nikon D80 DSLR on manual with aperture at f28 and exposure at 20 seconds. It's a single exposure shot with no post-processing other than what you can do in Lightroom 1.x (adjusting exposure, contrast curve, etc).
The only flash on the subject was a Nikon SB900 on SU4 mode, set to full 1/1 power and full zoom. It was placed on a stand, pointing through a shoot-through umbrella, about halfway up the umbrella's shaft. The stand was positioned just to the left of the camera pointing forward slightly across the camera's perspective.
I also placed a gold reflector to the right, on a mic stand. I kept it in place using a stereo bar on a dropped boom arm to stop the reflector flapping around.
I triggered the camera wirelessly with a cheap ebay remote, and by cheap, I mean cheap (less than $1 with minimal p&p). It doesn't physically connect to the camera so there's no chance of damaging the camera (as far as I know to anyway). I triggered the SB900 three times with a handheld SB600 on full zoom, pointed out of frame to the floor below the SB900's light.
